Our world’s resources and species are disappearing at an alarming
rate. Each day millions of gallons of water are contaminated and the atmosphere is further contaminated, millions of hectares
of forest are ravaged, millions of animals are needlessly slaughtered by greedy tycoons whose actions are accessorized by
corrupt politicians, millions of endangered plants become obliterated in this deforestation, and millions of dollars are made
by single corporate leviathans who displace millions of indigenous people to perpetuate their money machine?
The International Conservation Society's Mentor, John Muir, as depicted above, worked directly with President Roosevelt to campaign for environmental reform. That
is why his lobbying was so successful; because he took the issues directly to the top. The International Conservation Society
is commited to enacting the same kind of reform and we urgently implore your assistance in these endeavors.
The International Conservation Society is a non-profit
organization whose mission is to protect our precious and dwindling natural resources, both living and non-living, both human
and non-human. Membership in the International Conservation Society is free, but donations are greatly appreciated. We pledge
to use every resource at our disposal for the purpose of protecting and restoring the environment through conservation,
education and reform.
Even if you only have a dollar to give, we greatly
appreciate even that, and those who benefit from that donation appreciate it even more. Every penny counts, and a dollar can
do a lot of good in some of the economically depressed regions in which assistance is rendered.

Perhaps your time is an even more precious gift than monetary resources. Every second you spend educating your fellow man
about conservation or the environment, lobbying for reform, or actively participating in conservation projects may prolong
the life of one or more of your favorite species by years. If each person can save just one creature, then isn’t it
worth the effort?

a number of links, information, and organizations, but it is impossible to maintain an exhaustive list of them all. We welcome
your input to broaden our scope, however. If there is something of note which you wish to contribute to our website we value
your input and contributions. As The International Conservation Society is a non-profit organization we cannot presently
remunerate contributors of any published material, but we will give full credit for any material we use. Beyond that, you
